My car had started taking a little longer to start, but I wasn’t sure if the battery was actually going bad. I connected this and got the health, charge level and starting information pretty quickly.             Does it need its own batteries or charging?

            No. Ampora is powered directly by the battery you're testing, so it's ready to use as soon as you clip it on.

            What vehicles and batteries does it work with?

            It tests 6V, 12V and 24V systems in cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats and ATVs, and supports flooded, AGM flat plate, AGM spiral, EFB, GEL and lithium (5–220Ah) batteries.

            Can it test a completely dead battery?

            It needs a minimum voltage to power on. For a fully drained battery, charge it briefly first. Ampora is designed to spot weak batteries before they fail completely.

            What's the difference between the charging and cranking tests?

            The charging test checks whether your alternator is recharging the battery properly while the engine runs. The cranking test measures how well your battery delivers power while the engine starts

            How do I get my test report?

            After a test, press OK to show a QR code. Scan it with your phone to view and save the full report. You can also print it by connecting a standard USB thermal printer, sold separately.
