It finds metal pipes, both steel and iron in Ferrous mode and copper and aluminium in Non-Ferrous mode. It does not detect plastic (PVC) pipes.

No. Wire detection works on live (powered) AC wiring only.

Recalibrate on a clear section of wall, keep the scanner flat and move slowly. Damp walls can affect readings, so for best results scan dry surfaces.

How will I know when it finds something?
How will I know when it finds something?
You’ll get three signals at once: the audio alarm beeps, the indicator light changes, and the LCD shows the depth and signal strength. In Precision Stud mode, the center indicator also marks the exact middle of the stud.
