YardSentry is very straightforward, which is exactly what I wanted. I placed it near the boundary of my garden and didn’t have to deal with wiring or complicated installation. No. YardSentry uses sound and light only, with no poisons, sprays or traps. It makes your garden feel unwelcoming so animals choose to go elsewhere

The ultrasonic modes are mostly above human hearing, but some people, especially children, may hear a faint high tone in Mode 1. Mode 3 is an audible alarm by design. For quieter use, choose Mode 2 or Mode 4

It can. Dogs and cats can hear ultrasonic sound. If you have pets, place the unit facing areas they don't use, or use Mode 4 (LED flash only)

Assemble the stake, push it into the soil, and turn the dial to your chosen mode. You can also mount it on a wall, fence or post using the keyhole slots. It takes about two minutes.

The solar panel charges it during the day. In long cloudy or winter spells, bring it indoors and top it up with the USB cable. Don't charge it outdoors in the rain.
